Hanna is starting her tenth year at the School of Arts and Technology in Szombathely, specializing in singing and solfege. She has also played flute for seven years. Practicing music is completely occupying her free time and - as she says - music has become part of her life. It is not only a pleasure, but it also helps her overcome difficult situations and illness.

Nowadays Hanna has started to learn playing the guitar from her dad. So, her wish was to have a guitar of her own.

Dear Hanna, have fun making music!

Many thanks to the generous guests and the management of Corinthia Budapest Hotel and our private sponsors for making Hanna's dream come true!

DOMINIK NORBERT (16, BUDAPEST)

Domi asked for an inflatable massage pool from the Magic Lamp Foundation to move around when he is out of his wheelchair.

Let us share the letter of thanks from Domi's mother:

Dear Magic Lamp Foundation!

We are very happy because the long-awaited massage pool arrived in the last days of summer! Domi has already tried it and he says it is amazing.

It is true, because after 1-2 hours of having a massage bath, his tense muscles are relaxed and he can do some postures in the water, such as sitting on his knees, which he could only do painfully on the ground. He can stand on all fours, kneel alone in the water, float in the water, do gymnastics with his legs under the water. He proudly says,"Look Mum, I can do this and that in the water".
I am so glad to see that he enjoys every moment, he feels free in the water!

He is happy to have his pool at his disposal at any time. He is already planning ’to jump in it’ after a hard day at school, if he feels like it!

We would like to thank everyone for making Domi's dream come true!

In a bit more detail, we are grateful to the 34 generous private sponsors, our kind friends and acquaintances, as well as acquaintances of them, etc. who offered their donations for Dominik's pool on the website of ’Magic Bugs’.

Many thanks for the help of the Magic Lamp Foundation, for the assistance of its staff and for the sponsorship to provide the missing funds.
It's good to see again the endless joy and the carefree smile of a child day after day!
Thank you for allowing us to be part of a miracle!

With love and thanks,

Katalin, Domi’s mother

We would like to thank  generous guests and the management of Corinthia Hotel Budapest as well as our private sponsors for fulfilling Dominik's wish.

ROZI AJÁNDÉK (14, VESZPRÉM)

It was Rozi’s big dream to visit the Akropolis of Athens once.

Rozi and her mom took their professional camera and their telescope as well to the road, to capture the experience. The first surprise hit the family at the gates. A voice from the loudspeakers called for Rozi and Virág and said that they could board the plane, before the other passengers, where the crew received them. It was a huge experience for Rozi that she could even sit in the cockpit, she met the pilots and she took part in the preparations before the take-off. She even got a plane mock-up as a gift which was signed by the whole crew.

In the morning we landed in Athens, and after checking in we went for a long walk. We had lunch in a cozy, authentic greek inn, and later in the afternoon, we went sightseeing on a bus to visit the sights of Athens. Rozi enjoyed sitting on top of the double-decker, from where she could see the city.

The following day we visited the Akropolis, which consists of more than 20 building complexes, from there we could see the Theatre of Dionysus as well. We watched the changing of the guards in front of the Parliament which follows a strict choreography. In the afternoon we looked around the bazaar of Athens too.

We spent the last day at the beach where Rozi was swimming obliviously in the picturesque surroundings.

Here is a quote from Rozi's letter of thanks to the Magic Lamp Foundation:

Dear Magic Lamp! Thank you so much for the opportunity to visit Greece! When I left the cockpit I said " it was worth, even if I should go home now".
Those 3 days were an everlasting experience. I haven't learned about Greece yet, but I will understand everything better when I know what happened there 2500 years ago! Thank you again for the opportunity and thanks to Boglárka Áchim for accompanying me! ❤️

We would like to thank E.ON Hungária Zrt, Wizz Air Hungary Ltd, and our private donors for their support, among them Ms Gabi Lukéj, Dr. Tiborné Jenei and Mr Vilmos Hegyi for helping Rozi’s dream come true. We would like also thank the Marriott Hotel Budapest, the ibis Styles Budapest Airport Hotel for their help with the hotel reservation.

ALEX (18, BUDAPEST)

Alex had been waiting three years for his wish to come true. He loves nature and wildlife so he asked us if we could take him to Norway to see the fjords.

This was before the Covid restrictions, and since then Alex has gone through a lot of challenges, but he waited patiently for his dream to come true.

We prepared for the trip with great excitement, but organizing the trip was a challenge at its best. We aimed to start our trip at a fairy-tale-beautiful small town of Bergen, as we knew that countless boats leave from here every day for shorter and longer fjord tours.

Alex had the first surprise still in Budapest: thanks to our supporter, Wizzair, he could visit the cockpit checked the plane from the outside with the captain and in between got lots of interesting information about flying. Plus he got as a present a small Airbus from the crew.

We visited Mostraumen and Flam among the many possibilities; the first tour almost took us back to the age of the Vikings. We sailed between high mountains falling into the water and saw many waterfalls, and on the second trip, we stopped in several small villages and admired the beauty of the Norwegian landscape. This trip lead us into Sognefjord that is one of the longest fjord in the world.
During the trip, we also learned that this is the deepest fjord in the world, about 400 meters deep. The landscape was incredible, many birds accompanied us on our way, which made Alex extra happy as he loves birds.

/ 13

In addition to sailing, we also had the opportunity to walk around the small village of Flam, even collect pebbles from the stream, and take many beautiful photos of the diverse landscape. You could almost bite the clean air and all the peace that flowed from the mountains, I believe that it will give him a lot of strength on his road to recovery.

During our short visit, we also had the opportunity to go for a walk in Bergen, that lies between the sea and mountains; we took the elevator up the mountain, and from there we could enjoy the beauty of the surrounding landscape as part of a several-hour walking tour.

I am sure that this trip will be a lifelong experience for Alex, and will give him the strength to be completely healthy as soon as possible.

Special thanks to our sponsors, Wizz Air Hungary Ltd, the captain and crew of our flights, the MVM Energetikai Zrt, our numerous private sponsors,
including the employees of Vak Varjú Restaurant for their donation, Magic Lamp supporters who participated at our charity dinner this June, the donors on INLOCK Kripto platform and Dr. Jenei Tiborné, for making Alex's dream come true. Many thanks to Zsuzsa and Gábor representing the Hungarian community in Bergen, that they made this magical trip even more beautiful with their kindness. We would like also thank the Marriott Hotel Budapest for their help with the hotel reservation.

It would have been much more difficult without you!

TAMÁS (13, MEZŐCSÁT)

Barni and Tomi had the same wish, for which they both patiently waited two years. We traveled together with the children and their parents.

We met before the long-awaited departure day because our plane left very early the next day and we all live several hours' drive from Budapest. Fortunately, we had the opportunity to spend the evening at the airport hotel. This gave us some time to get to know each other, and talked about our plans and I replied to all the questions while eating our delicious dinner. We all agreed that we are looking forward to the departure and the many experiences that await us.
Two very nice young men who work for WizzAir helped us with the early departure.

The first person to help us was Bence, with whom we had already agreed by phone the day before where and when we would meet. He guided us through check-in, and baggage drop-off and accompanied our small group from the bus to the plane. The surprise only started after the captain announced the names of Barni and Tomi on the plane, that he would welcome them on board separately. Afterward, a very nice and helpful steward, Zsombor, talked to the two boys separately and gave each of them a gift in the name of the entire flight crew, in a package signed by everyone. It was very touching, even for the parents. We guessed that they knew about us, but none of us felt that kind of kindness.

Tomi and his mother flew for the first time in their lives. Of course, we managed to arrange that Tomi could sit next to the window, and since we were sitting up front, the wing didn't interfere with the perfect view, and due to the clear sky, neither did the clouds.

We arrived in Paris, where none of them had been before, so everyone got to know the main sightseeing spots before we continued to Disneyland. Seeing the Eiffel Tower was a special experience.

We traveled to Disneyland on the RER, which took us straight to our destination. Upon arrival, we first got off the "train" and tried to grasp the scale of the place. We arrived at a large square, from where we tried to get to the accommodation at the Disney Village. We saw noticed that the entrance to the famous, big destination was very close, as well as to the Disney Studio (which I didn't even know existed a few days before the departure), but we weren't headed there for the time being.

The biggest surprise was the hotel, or more precisely, there were 3 hotels on the shore of a lake, one of which had the accommodation, which was decorated with a nautical theme (the other was New York and superheroes, and the 3rd, forest-bear-nature...).

We took another quick rest and the awaited “miracle” arrived in the early afternoon… we entered Disneyland. Everyone had ideas and fantasies about how it is going to look and feel to be at Disneyland. It's hard to describe what awaits you there. On the one hand, there were a lot of people, on the other hand, beautiful we saw beautiful buildings everywhere, as I imagined a small town in the 20s in the USA, with themed park areas (Wild West, Aladdin, Mexican, pirate-rocky, for little girls, for small children, Star Wars...), and the right in the middle of the park there is the Disney castle.

The children first targeted the first big roller coaster... and then the next one, and the one after that, and in the meantime, we also looked at the smaller attractions, but after a few hours, everyone had their favorite roller coaster, attraction, and topic of conversation. There was a separate roller coaster in the mine, on a mini-steam train, Indiana Jones style, which also stood on its head, Pirates of the Caribbean went on the water, and underground, but the fastest, every mother’s nightmare was Star Wars, which was almost entirely in the dark went…

/ 17

In the evening, we had a buffet dinner during which we discussed the next day. The plan was to visit the Disney Studio, which is a little smaller than Disneyland, and where the Marvel heroes were housed, of course almost all of them included a roller coaster. We were also in the Tower of Horrors, which took place in a broken elevator of a haunted hotel..., here we learned what free fall is in a few seconds that seemed to last forever.

On the second night at Disneyland, everyone watched the night show at 11 pm. We concluded that the reason for the late show being so late is because it is not completely dark at 10 pm. The light show is a great experience and it is the perfect ending to a day at Disneyland. A short story of the Disney characters was projected onto the castle, which was made unforgettable for everyone with a fountain play and fireworks, while, of course, soundtracks played during the show.

The following day the time has come to return home. After a delicious breakfast together, we decided that everyone already knows the main places, routes, and attractions in the park, so we went on our separate way for a few hours that were left until the departure of the airport shuttle bus. Some wanted one last big roller coaster ride, some tried to get Thor's hammer for their brother.

The trip home went smoothly and quickly, almost everyone was a regular passenger and everyone was thinking more and more about how good it would be to return home and tell the family about this great experience, which I don't think can be processed in such a short time. Even after a long time, these wonderful memories will bring a smile to your face.

We gratefully thank our sponsors, the managers of Wizz Air Hungary Ltd., ground and flight crew, to the Euro Disney Associes S.C.A. WISH program, the Budapesti Értéktőzsde Zrt., the ibis Styles Budapest Airport hotel and our private sponsors, we were able to make Banabás's dream come true!

If there are, Szabolcs is definitely not one of them, since he wished for a driver's license. Magic Lamp is happy to help Szabolcs to achieve his goal.
