Dominik (7 years old, Zalaszabar)

Wonderlamp visited a real civil engineer on Saturday. Dominik is the bravest and cutest inhabitant of a small village in Zala County.

He was being played in the middle of the garden, when I could surprise him with the good news, that his wish was fulfilled faster than we expected. Dominik was happy to take over the hospital with the ambulance and the helicopter. He even crawled into the box to check if any spare parts might have left there.
His mother promised him that as soon as the whole hospital will be finished, she will arrange an MR examination for him. I also received lots of smiles and much happiness from this meeting! Thank you!

I can confirm that Mister Civil Engineer assembled everything by the end of next day, and he also sent me a photo of his work.

Vivien (8 years old, Hajdúböszörmény)

In the early morning on the 15th we were very excited to meet the members of the Csodalámpa group at LISZT FERENC Budapest AIRPORT. This was the very first time we saw each other: 8 children, 7 parents/companions and 2 volunteers and a doctor.
One of the children, Viven came from Hajdúböszörmény, but even she was relaxed, as she passed the night at the Art'Otel Budapest as guest of the direction.
It was nice to see the shining faces of the children, full of expectation: for all of them this was to be the first flight of their life.

After the landing in Paris we were taken by comfortable minibuses to our hotel in Disneyland-Paris, the HOTEL CHEYENNE.
This hotel-group was built in small western city style, this atmosphere radiated from everywhere. We quickly checked into our rooms and started to discover the „empire of wonders” with great excitement.
For our luck even the first afternoon we got the colourful, magic „Parade”, where the famous Disney fairy tale characters proceeded in front of us dancing, singing on the Main street. The rest of the afternoon we split into small groups and each had wonderful adventures. We had dinner quite late but the children were not tired at all because in the restaurant of the hotel we got another Mickey Mouse dancing-singing program, creating a splendid mood among the children.

Having a good night’s rest in our comfortable „western” hotel, after a substantial breakfast, we used again the direct hotel-bus to Disney resort to pass and enjoy the whole day there.
The children and adults - considering the different ages and interests - separated into small groups and took part in excited, magic attractions.
Some of favourites were: Pirates of the Caribbean, Thunder Messa Riverboat, Big Thunder Mountain, Fantasyland, Phantom Manor and the beautiful Castle of Sleeping Beauty. We loved the extraordinary colourful parks and fountains everywhere. And that mood… Thousands of children and adults roaming around everywhere all of them smiling, relaxed….

It was great help for us the so called „fastpass”, courtesy of the Disney Resort: we could use our time much better as almost every case we could get to the attractions with the wheelchairs without queuing. The major part of the group spent the time in Disney Park but some brave boys and their parents went to more „dangerous zones” as well and they really enjoyed the special attractions there.

The children were changed, they all forgot about their illnesses, just went to the next and next adventure untiredly. We sat on a big ship, on different boats, took small train around the park. We were anxious on the switchback railway which run at top speed clattering in dark, open air, having unexpected curves. We sat on the back of Dumbo, the elephant, horses, small airplanes and so on…
During the dinner at the hotel restaurant we exchanged our experiences and admired the photos of each other. The children were very sorry about saying goodbye to the wonders of Disneyland but at the same time they were excited by the boat trip on the Seine next day.

Sunday morning after the regular substantial breakfast the minibuses took us to Paris, to the bank of Seine where we admired „la Tour Eiffel” - unfortunately we had no time enough to go up to the tower.
After a short walk we got into the high class, glass-covered boat. We discovered the magic of the banks of the Seine with their prestigious monuments that had left their mark in history. We also had lunch while floating accompanied with original accordion music.

Then the minibuses came for us and transferred us to the airport. The brave children-group was a little bit tired here, and they just held with love their small presents bought to their family members, friends.
Now, as „experienced travellers” they got on board without fear and enjoyed the flight back. We arrived to Budapest quite late.

The 3 days flew very fast as they all lived their dreams...

In the life of all these children it was the first time to go abroad, to fly, to have adventures in Disneyland, a journey on a boat, a dinner in an elegant restaurant with beautiful panorama… All of these are special unforgettable provisions for their entire life, not forgetting the friendships which were developed during this trip among the children and also the adults.

The children explained their feelings in a short, written form, they all are very thankful for the adults, companies - supporting Csodalámpa Foundation - for providing for them the possibility to enjoy this dream journey.

We wish the SUPER-CHILDREN-GROUP that this wonderful experience helps them in their further recovering!

We wish these SUPER-CHILDREN that this wonderful experience help them in their further recovering!

Many thanks for the support of

Bálint (14 years old, Budapest)

I was very excited waking up on 1st April because I knew: that day was the day. The day when my dream came true. My wish was to have the opportunity to watch a Manchester United derby and to visit London. Csodalámpa Foundation has provided it; we went to London to watch the West Ham United – Manchester United game in April.

After the early departure from Budapest we arrived to London at 8 o’clock in the morning and almost immediately went to our first programme for a stadium tour in the famous Wembley Stadium. Fortunately we were finally able to visit one of the world’s greatest stadiums. In the afternoon we got onto the London’s Eye to look at the amazing view over this beautiful city which we got to know closer in the next few days.

On the second day of our trip my biggest wish came true: we were going to the West Ham United - Manchester United derby which took place in the stadium of West Ham called Upton Park. I was a little desperate at half time because my favourite club was 2-0 down but Man Utd turned the match in their favour in the second half and got the right result, 4-2 thanks to Rooney’s outstanding performance and to his great hat-trick.

In the next two days we visited London’s most famous and most beautiful places; the Tower of London, Big Ben, St Paul’s Cathedral, Tower Bridge, Westminster Abbey, Hyde Park etc. Apart from going to the basic sights and places we took long walks in the heart of the city as well. On the very last day we even had the chance to take several photographs with lots of famous people in Madame Tussaud’s (obviously only with their wax figures unfortunately).

During our trip in London we made ourselves good experts of national cuisines in London. Although the British national cuisine doesn’t excel we found the Indian and other national cuisines very delicious. We got home really tired but full of great experiences.

I am really thankful for getting the chance to experience this unforgettable trip and want to thank Csodalámpa Foundation for making my dream come true.

I would like to especially thank Gábor from Csodalámpa for smoothly coordinating this trip owing to his excellent language and organizing skills.

Szabina ( 18 years old, Kecel )

Sabina and Gergő wished to visit Paris to see all sights. Four of us have left to Paris on a Monday afternoon. The flight was a big pleasure for the children. We landed in Paris safely and drived to the hotel by taxi.

On Tuesday morning we started our visit at Eiffel tower. We had a beautiful view from the tower. We made lots and lots of photos. We travelled from here to Concorde square first, afterwards to Tellurian Gardens and then to Louvre. We had no time to visit the museum, but it was nice to walk around in the beautiful gardens.

On Friday morning we travelled to Triumph Bogen first. Unfortunately the cccc was closed that day, so we could walk around only instead. After that we went to Notre Dame by metro. We visited the cathedral. Gergő liked Seine and the walk at Seine a lot. We took a cruise boat and looked Paris from it. Sabina was a bit tired. Gergő however was very enthusiastic and made lots of photos.

On Saturday morning we travelled to Versailles. It took quite a long to get into the castle. We liked the big rooms very much. Gergő liked the park where he could run between Brunnen und Buschen. Sabina told it is one of the most beautiful places during our travel. We agreed as it is not often you can visit such a nice gardens. At the evening we were quite tired when we arrived at our hotel. We had our dinner together.

At Sunday evening we were a bit tired and sad to leave back to Hungary.

I believe we had wonderful days together. We succeeded visiting all the important and nice places in Paris. The time went very quickly as we had a very good company.

I hope Gergő and Sabina will remember this beautiful travel.

Thank you for the support of and

Fanni (4 year’s old, Nick)

Fanni turned to the Genie of the foundation with a special request. In the village where they live, more horses are kept. She always walks with her parents to the horses, to caress them. She likes the horses very much, and she would have liked to have a pony. She asked for one, who is gentle, on whom one can seat and if they go to walk, pony also can be taken.

Her wish was fulfilled, Fanni became the owner of Tobias – a very gentle and friendly black and white coloured pony. There was a big surprise when the pony arrived. There were many of us in the garden, among the others István Kiss and László Pézsok, who represented our sponsor. Fanni was a little bit awe-stucked, nevertheless she patted the horse, but at that time, she did not want to sit on. When the family were left alone, she was releived and did not only patted, but she sat on the pony, as well.

Thank you for Ernő Hajtó, the previous owner of the pony that he helped us at the transportation.

We wish you little Fanny, that you would be the owner of Tobi for a long time, in good strength and health.

We fulfilled the wish with the backup of . We thank you also in Fanny’s name!

Bianka (16 years old, Eger)

Bianka came from Eger to Budapest to meet with the famous singer, Éder Krisztián, alias SP. The teen star was very open to the idea, he said yes right away, that he would gladly talk to Bianka before his concert. The girl was very excited as we waited before the show, and when the concert crew started preparing, we knew the man himself would arrive at any minute. We of course had hotline connection with SP, so we knew where to stand to be the first ones to see him enter the VIP room. Then, for half an hour, it was all about Bianka. The two of them started talking like they knew each other forever. SP was very kind and polite, he knew that he was making a dream come true. Bianka told him that his poster is on her bedroom wall and that her friends are very jealous that she got to meet him face-to-face. She told him she loves his music, the way he looks and the way he dances. In turn, SP told her about his plans of getting a diploma, and doing photoshoots beside his music and dancing, because that’s another area he wants to explore. Bianka gave him the little present she brought, then we sat down to watch his concert. She even made some new friends at the show, and she told them that she met the singer personally. She was very proud and she smiled and smiled.

May you never forget this day, Bianka, and may this experience help you in your future.

We’d like to thank Vermes Orsolya production manager for her help in setting the meeting and Királyhegyi Zsuzsa for getting us the VIP-tickets and the chance to talk to SP.

Thank you for the support of

Tamás (3 éves, Csány)

On Sunday, after some driving we stopped around 10 before one of the houses in the outskirts of Csány, a small village in Heves county. Tomi the „wonderlamp” child lives here and we came to grant his wish at last.

The boy is treated at the same pediatric clinic and department, where my daughter was treated a few years before, we went as a family. At that time Csodalámpa has fulfilled the wish of my daughter, Lilla, so she wanted to come and bring joy to her peer.

Tomi has been playing in their yard upon our arrival. He had not the slightest idea, what could be hidden in the huge box, delivered two days before to his home, so his surprise was total.

Seeing the – officially „sit-in, battery driven child-vehicle” – jeep turn up from the box, a shy smile could be seen on his face.
First he just caressed the bright red car, then we urged him to sit in and he touched the steering wheel… Like he was floating in a pleasant dream, and was afraid that a careless move would wake him up…

Then I explained him how to drive his car: where is the accelerator, the gear shift, how strong he has to hold and turn the steering wheel… he started to drive in circles around us, more and more bravely and skilfully.
Sure a few times we had to jump away, but all in all he has learned to drive his car really fast.

While the boy practiced - almost - off-road driving on the small mounds, we have been chatting with his parents over some sweets and refreshments. We were able to see the children joyfully running around the jeepster and could see that the warm hearted driver, Tomi gave a lift to the more brave.

Although Tomi has earlier thanked for the jeep, when he saw us packing he asked us with a note of fear in his voice:

- Will you take away the car with you?

Oh, no Tom, this car is yours for ever, and we hope that you will be so happy with it, that we were this day, seeing your happiness.
Get well the soonest!

This wish has been granted thanks to the support of Mr. Adrian Gray, managing director of the Hotel LeMeridien Budapest, the team of the Hotel and the participants of the charity cheese tasting event on April 4, 2011.

Gábor (11 years old, Magyardombegyház)

It was a rainy Sunday when we gave the 11 year-old Gábor a great pleasure with a PC.

When we arrived to Magyardombegyház Gábor and his sister and brother were watching TV. Our arrival was a secret so he was shocked and he forgot to greet us. He was standing there with a seriously face .His sister and brother began to unpack the boxes but Gábor didn’t move he was standing only. Suddenly he ran to us and he clasped in our arms and gave a kiss. His face was glowing with a happy smile and he went to the boxes and unpacked the PC.

We helped to set up the computer and Gábor began to play games with pleasure.

When we said good-bye to the family Gábor ran again to us saying thanks for the fantastic present to the Magic Lamp and he clasped in our arms, again. We left a very happy boy there.

Thank you for the support of E.ON Hungary Zrt.
