VICA (9, Pázmándfalu)

Vica is a cheerful, strong, bubbly little girl who radiates love and kindness.

Her headmaster made him fall in love with the sport of darts, which she has been playing for years despite her young age.
She didn't think much about her wish, she knew that she wanted to go to the Hungarian Darts Trophy to be held in Budapest and meet Scottish world champion Peter Wright.

On Saturday's race day, we excitedly met the smiling Vica, her father and her brother.
She was able to enter through the VIP entrance, was escorted to her seat, sat down and watched the event lasting several hours.

She was able to meet her favorite after his victory that day. The famous competitor kindly welcomed the excited little girl, talked to her, signed her new jersey and arrow set and invited her to Sunday's race day.
Vica's happiness was boundless.

Her mother wrote: "I still have tears in my eyes when I think about the way Vica tells about this wonderful weekend. Thanks to the foundation, an old dream of hers came true, she was able to meet her darts role models. When they got home at night, she said it was the best day of her life."

We would like to thank Mr. Péter Takács, the managing director of Darts Event Ltd., who helped us and arranged everything so that Vica's dream could come true!

Kamilla (5, Budapest)

Kamilla's wish from the Magic Lamp Foundation was to spend a few days at the Nyíregyházi Zoo with her family. She particularly liked the sloth and had to visit it several times, but she also enjoyed the seal show and the penguins. She spent a lot of time on the hotel's playground as well.

Here are a few lines from a thank-you letter written by Kamilla's mother:

Dear Magic Lamp Foundation,
We want to express our heartfelt thanks for the wonderful opportunity that allowed us to relax in such a beautiful place, especially Kamilla. She enjoyed it very much, as did we, at the Hotel Pangea and the Zoo. I wish you all good health, as you do an enormous job.

Sincerely,

Tímea

BETTINA (17, KECSKEMÉT)

We met Betti and her mother on Friday afternoon on Liszt Ferenc Airport.
Betti was already surprised at check-in, as the Wizz Air representative was waiting personally for her at the gate, and we were the first to get through the gate without standing in line.
Then came the next surprise, that we were the first to board the plane. Here the entire crew of the plane was waiting for us and greeted Betti. She received a gift bag and was allowed to sit in the cockpit. The captain and his deputy briefly explained the most important operating parameters, showed the operation of some buttons on the control panel and answered questions. We were just amazed. Then we were the first to take our seats, after which everyone else could get in. We felt really exceptional. Arriving in Lisbon, we quickly found our accommodation and rested from the fatigue of the journey in our comfortable rooms.

The next morning, after a generous breakfast, we boarded the HopOn-HopOff bus and spent the whole day sightseeing with this bus. Betti really enjoyed the sights, the beautiful houses, the huge ships standing on the banks of the Tagus River.
We visited the St. Jerome's Monastery and Cathedral, the Belém Tower, the VII. Edward Square, the Heroes' Monument and countless other attractions. We visited Lisbon's industrial district, where, interestingly, there are also areas surrounded by luxury residential buildings. The next day came the "highlight" of the trip, we took the train to Cascais, on the ocean coast. We drove to the cliffs of Cabo da Roca, the westernmost tip of Europe. We had a breathtaking panorama where you stop speaking, just sit down on a cliff and look at the endless ocean. It was an incredible feeling, Betti couldn't utter a word...

After a short sightseeing, we swam in the ocean for 2 hours in the afternoon and enjoyed the sun.

Luckily for us the plan departured only in the evening, we still had almost a full day on Monday, so in the morning we travelled on the famous tram line 28 and enjoyed the slightly more ancient but well-maintained houses of the old quarter, the huge squares and again the view of boats "parked" on the banks of the river. After lunch at a local restaurant, we went to the Oceanarium already with luggage, where we admired the wonderful world of the seas for long hours. It was a really super end to our trip. After a comfortable flight, we arrived home at night, tired but enriched with a lot of experiences. Betti's wish came true, this trip gave her much more than she had imagined, she enjoyed the sights, the bustling city, and the ocean so much that she didn't even want to come home.

KELEMEN (13, DUNAKESZI)

Kelemen likes history very much - and also cats. He is especially interested in ancient Rome so it is easy to understand why he wished to travel to the "eternal city". He has never flown before so he was already amazed to see the airport and to go through the special boarding procedures but he was even more amazed when after landing, in spite of the late hours, he could sit in the cockpit - thanks to Wizz Air.

Kele was first of all interested in the Colosseum so we started our first day there. It was a fantastic feeling to see this marvellous building! After this we looked at the Circus Maximus toying with the idea of how the horse races could have been here back in the old days, then on the way to the Tiber also Kele put his hand into the "Mouth of Truth" - and also pulled it out fine! :-) Having tasted some local snacks, some pizza and gelato we crossed the Jewish neighbourhood to see the famous cat colony of Rome at the Largo di Torre Argentina and the Piazza Navona. Towards the end of the already full day while heading towards the hotel we looked at the Pantheon and admired the Forum Romanum.

The morning of our second day was completely filled with sightseeing at the Vatican. From here we headed towards the Piazza di Spagna, as one of Kele's wishes was to climb the steps with his father. A volunteering group of the local "carabinieri" helped fulfill this wish - they even put on their parade uniform for the occasion. Traffic in Rome is especially chaotic with a wheelchair but even so we managed to get to the main sights. In spite of this we had to throw in some coins at the Fountain of Trevi as there is so much to see in Rome, one has to go back.

/ 9

Our third and unfortunately our last day was only half a day as we had to arrive at the airport by early afternoon. In the morning we went to a local vegetable and fish market where Kele for the first time in his life tried some raw crab - and he loved it! We still had some time to go up to the top of the monument Vittorio Emanuele II from where there is an amazing panoramic view of Rome. It was a worthy farewell from this beautiful city! Kelemen has experienced many new things during this trip, the "eternal city" really gave him memories forever.

We would like to thank in the name of Kelemen too the support of the management of Warm Up Járműkereskedelmi Kft, the Kontron Kft., the Wizz Air Hungary Ltd.and our private sponsors, whose help allowed us to fulfill Kelemen's dream.

We would also like to thank the help of Mr. Gabor Garami and the Corinthia Hotel Budapest, and also the performers and guests of our jcharity gala that we were able to to give so much fun to Kelemen.

CSENGE (15, MÁRKÓ)

The dream of Csenge, an aspiring chef, who studies cooking and tourism in a high school in Veszprém, was to meet with superstar chef, Gordon Ramsay.

Gordon Ramsay’s restaurants have collected 17 Michelin stars thus far during his career, including Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in London that has held 3 Michelin stars since 2001.

Mr Gordon Ramsay has graciously agreed to meet with Csenge and invited her to the shooting of the forthcoming series of Next Level Chef, a huge hit in the US. The filming takes place in Ashford Studios, close to Dublin, so Csenge, for the first time in her life, got on a plane to travel to Ireland for the meeting.

Her visit was truly thrilling!
She was allowed to sit on the side of the set and watch up close and personal how the jury of the cooking competition evaluated the dishes of the three teams and came up with the best dish of the remaining nine contestants. She could follow for about half an hour the filming of the show, how the professional, the social media and amateur chefs organized in teams listened to the three members of jury, Gordon Ramsay, Nyesha Arrington and Richard Blais as they provided feedback on their performance.
She could also check out the fascinating set of three kitchens on three different floors, each having a different level of sophistication.

Once the filming was over, Csenge was warmly welcomed by Mr. Ramsay and the two other members of the jury. Mr. Ramsay asked Csenge about her ambition and the meals she liked to cook most, and shared with her his lovely experience, visiting Hungary where he truly enjoyed the food and wines. They also exchanged gifts, and Csenge got a chef apron, signed by the world famous Chef. He gave a big hug to Csenge as they said good-bye. Csenge was over the moon!

Mr. Ramsay’s assistant, Ms. Laura Giarusso who has kindly organized the visit with her colleagues, also showed her the set from behind the scenes and the control room where the work of numerous cameras was coordinated.

Padraig Humby, the owner of Chester Beatty Inn in Ashford has been so kind as to pick up Csenge from the airport and took her to the studio and neighboring Wicklow for a visit.

It was a wonderful experience, a memory of a lifetime for Csenge!

We would like to express our sincere thanks to SIr Gordon Ramsay for his kindness and also to the management of Intrum Zrt, Kühne+Nagel Kft., Plazmaszolgálat Kft. and to our private sponsors that made Csenge's dream reality.

ATTILA DOMINIK (16, NYÍREGYHÁZA-OROS)

Attila is a 16 year old boy, who went through a difficult operation in November 2022. He had a wish from the Magic Lamp to be able to go to Monza, to Formula 1.

Right at the beginning of the flight, Attila was amazed, because before the other passengers boarded, Wizz Air staff showed him the plane from the outside and inside. He could also sit in the cockpit and ask all his questions to the pilots until the other passengers took their seats on the plane. Attila even received a gift package from the Wizz Air team, of which he was very glad.

After arriving in Milan on Friday morning and taking our rooms at the hotel, we immediately went into Monza for the Formula 1 venue. There, Attila's ear-length smile could not be removed. On Friday there was free training. Attila was very excited to follow the Formula 3, Formula 2 and Formula 1 training circles.

We had excellent seats during the three days at the race track, we were sitting in a covered stand just in front of the home straight, and we even saw the last curve perfectly.

/ 10

We spent most of our Saturday with sightseeing as Attila had never been to Milan yet and wanted to see it. We climbed to the top of Milan Cathedral, visited the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II shopping center, walked through the charming streets of Milan and landed at Sforzescoi Castle. In the meantime we had lunch and visited one of the best ice cream shop in Milan.

Finally came the third day, the most exciting day, Sunday, the day of the race. We got up early and were already at the Formula 1 track at 8:30 in the morning. We watched the Formula 3 race, then walked over to the Fans-zone, where we could see old Formula 1 cars and Attila could try different games. Then we watched the Formula 2 race, and then the Formula 1 drivers paraded to the spectators. Exactly at 3 p.m., the competitors started and we watched with great excitement as they raced past us.

Although Attila was rooting for Mercedes, especially for Hamilton, who did not perform so well in the race, Attila enjoyed every minute of the race. After the race was over, the organizers opened the track to spectators, so we could go down to the starting line and we were within arm's reach of the grandstand where the award ceremony was held. We celebrated the top three with the crowd together. After the event, we still had the opportunity to walk over to the old Formula 1 track, which was famous for the fact that part of the track was tilted, on which Attila slid down.

We ended our wonderful journey with a dinner where we were talked about the weekend's events.

We would like to thank our sponsors, Wizz Air Hungary Zrt, Ibis Milano Ca Granda Hotel, Nu Skin Eastern Europe Kft., Budapest Stock Exchange, ibis Styles Budapest Airport and our private sponsors, including Éva, that we could give Attila so much joy.

GERGŐ (11, GYÖMRŐ)

Gergő had the big dream to see the fireworks of August 20th.

His dream came true this St. Stephen's Day with the help of the Csodalámpa Foundation and the Budapest Marriott Hotel.

Gergő arrived with his parents and little sister by seven o’clock at the entrance hall of the Marriott Hotel where they were greeted and immediately shown to the the restaurant. They were seated at a table with a fantastic view looking over the Danube.
The management of the hotel invited the family for a buffet dinner as well so that they can pass the time even more pleasant. On the menu there was everything that lures the taste and sight and the family used the opportunity to try all the delicacies. A young waiter was always at their service and was asking them from time to time what he could bring them, how he could spoil them. By the time the children were practically full, the lights were switched off and the long awaited fireworks started.

Gergő was amazed watching the coloured lights, the beautiful forms created by the explosions, the light-screening and the lasershow. The explosions were loud but it didn’t disturb Gergő at all, he just enjoyed the beautiful sight.

Gergő’s dream came true and he was totally immersed in the colourful show. He will have a lot to talk about upon returning to the school at the beginning of September.

We thank the management of the Budapest Marriott Hotel, Mr. Arne Klehn and his collegues Budapest Marriott Hotel for their generous support that made it possible to fulfill Gergő’s wish.

PETRA (18, HÓDMEZŐVÁSÁRHELY)

Petra is a very active young girl. She competes in inline skating and caring for animals means a lot to her as well. She is studying to become a veterinary assistant, so it was no surprise that her wish from the Magic Lamp was to swim with dolphins.

The small team flew to Malta to make Petra's and another child's dream come true. Petra arrived at the airport directly from her inline skating camp, and of course, she had her skates attached to her backpack. Luckily, there was no problem, and her favorite item was allowed on the plane. As VIP guests, we were among the first to board the aircraft, and the girls even got to see the cockpit. It was Petra's first flight, so there was a lot of novelty and excitement on the way there.

Upon arriving in Malta late in the evening, there was only time for a quick transfer to the hotel, but we were thrilled to occupy the wonderful rooms.

The next day was the big day when the wish came true. Upon arriving at the marinepark, we had a few activities to choose from: we watched a parrot show, fed birds, marveled at the fantastic performance of two dolphins, and then we moved to a separate pool where Petra, dressed in a special suit, could enter the water with the dolphin. It was undoubtedly an experience she will remember forever. During the trip, there was also an opportunity for some sightseeing, hiking, and enjoying the fantastic comfort and services of our accommodation. There was even some time for inline skating.

The young girl happily flew back home. Although she arrived very late, she probably didn't mind it at all.

On behalf of Petra and ourselves, we would like to express our gratitude to our supporters: Wizz Air Hungary LTD.,
to Mr. Jonathan Pace and to Mr. Carl Galea and the colleagues of Radisson Blu Resort Malta St. Julian’s Hotel, the Groupama Biztosító ZRt., the generous guests of Corinthia Hotel Budapest, as well as our private supporters, Szilvia and Balázs, for helping us make another dream come true!
