Wish Alliance - A Dream Day

The fourth meeting and consultation of the Wish Alliance member organisations was held in beautiful Tallinn, Estonia.

Our hosts, Margarita and Grete-Liis, the leaders of Minu Unistuste Päev (My Dream Day) introduced us to their mission, methods, the managing and structure of their volunteer network, the difficulties of fundraising and the joy their work brings to the ill children.

Their mission is to organise 'a dream day' to the ill child, fulfilling his or her wish or wishes, that can include all sort of fun. Even the President of Estonia helped them to grant a special wish...

Of course we discussed other subjects too, related to the future development of the Wish Alliance (do we need an article of association for the Alliance, how to accept new members, etc.), distributed tasks in this respect among us. The candidate foundation from Portugal, Terros dos Sonhos joined our talks online.

Although it was only a short visit, we were shown around in the old city, the castle, as a team building they thought us how to make X-Mas candles, just to mention a few experiences.

Many thanks go to Margarita and Grete-Liis for organising so well this meeting.

We also extend our sincere gratitude to the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, whose support has made the creation of the Wish Alliance and our ongoing exchange of ideas possible.
