WIsh Alliance training - 3rd session in Prague

Funded by the European Union's Erasmus+ program and hosted by Zlata Rybka Foundation, the third trainig session of Wish Alliance took place in Prague this October.
Two of our volunteers - Katalin and Noor - represented the Magic Lamp Foundation an took active part in the training.

Please read the short summary of experiences of Katalin:

I attended the October course of Wish Alliance a bit as an outsider, since I am not involved in the lives of seriously ill children as a volunteer, but rather through my profession.

Curiosity led me - the desire to gain new experiences and insights. I hoped to bring back something that would help us work a little better in our everyday practice on the pediatric rehabilitation ward, within the multidisciplinary team.
I had the privilege of meeting fantastic, dedicated people who, although they came from different countries and had different backgrounds, all strive with great love and extensive experience to bring joy to sick children.
During the course, I received many valuable ideas for connecting with children, easing tensions between us, and - last but not least - coping with grief and letting go.

Special thanks to our hosts for taking such good care of us.

I hope this was not the last time we met the volunteers we got to know here, and that we will have opportunities to share our experiences again in the future.

We warmly welcome anyone interested to visit us in Miskolc at the Pediatric Rehabilitation Department!
